Flore Merlin and Raphaël Jouan create the Duo Zoltan in 2015. They both studied at the Boulogne Billancourt Conservatoire and the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, and bonded by a very strong musical complicity they decided to enjoy together the wonderful repertoire for cello and piano.
Among all the masterpieces of this repertoire they also wish to make their audience discover unfairly unknown french sonatas like Ropartz, Vierne or Tansmann, by associating them with famous composers of the same period (Debussy, Franck, Fauré…).
They have performed in Paris, Bagneux, Metz, Colmar, at the Classic Metz’ival, et will give their first concert at the Arsenal of Metz during the season 2020/2021. Last november they performed the Louis Vierne Sonata, live on the radio during the show Générations France Musique.
In 2020 they will release their first album, Sérénade, featuring works by Debussy, Vierne, Fauré and Nadia Boulanger.
